EMC Corporation, 1999-2006, Technical Business Consultant. I led sensitive proof of concept projects that defined and proved the value of EMC products. By making the progress of projects visible, I set expectations for both the customer and EMC management. My work helped sell concepts and thus sell EMC products and services to Fortune 500 corporations.
DMR Consulting Group, 1997-1999, Management Consultant specializing in collaboration and value management. My work improved the collaboration and productivity of management teams, which both increased quality and accelerated the roll out of products.
Intersect Consulting, 1993-1997, Technology Consultant. I specialized in system management and performance analysis. Intersect Consulting was my own solo consulting company. I did every aspect of the businessfrom marketing to delivery. Owning and operating my own business taught me valuable lessons that I’ll never forget about the importance of customers.
Amdahl Corporation, 1981-1993, Corporate Systems Engineer. I was a member of its most influential technical marketing group—Corporate Systems Engineering. I consulted with Amdahl’s engineering, marketing, and service organization on system engineering as well as with Amdahl’s customers on System/390 technology. I led special projects that helped make Amdahl products more competitive and thus increased product revenues.
